Following the Kane County Democrats Convention on Wednesday, April 15, the Batavia Township Precinct Committee Persons elected new officers to lead the Batavia Township Democrats for the next two years.
The newly elected officers are:
- Chair: Kimberly Tarver
- Vice Chair: Jody Kanikula
- Secretary: Lucy Nelson
- Treasurer: Scott Piekarski
The new leadership team officially began their terms immediately after the election. Their first leadership meeting was held on Saturday, April 25, at the Batavia Public Library.
“Our new team is energized and ready to continue building an active and engaged Democratic community in Batavia Township which includes most of Batavia and parts of North Aurora.”

The leadership team will focus on implementing the goals and strategies established during a January 2026 planning session, including expanding voter engagement, grassroots organizing, and expanded community partnerships.
