This space is where we’ll share updates, ideas, and opportunities to stay connected and engaged throughout the year ahead. If you’re simply looking for ways to stay informed and get involved in civic life, you’re in the right place.
As we head into 2026, our focus is clear: stronger communication, deeper voter engagement, and a more connected community.
Democracy isn’t something we check in on every few years, it’s something we build together, consistently and locally. The year ahead gives us an opportunity to strengthen trust, expand participation, and ensure more people feel informed, welcomed, and empowered to take part in the civic process.
Our 2026 priorities reflect that commitment.
1. Clear, Consistent, and Accessible Communication is the foundation of meaningful engagement. We want to make information easier to find, easier to understand, and easier to share so no one feels left out of the conversation.
2. Voter Engagement that Meets People Where They Are. It’s about helping people navigate the process with confidence and clarity from voter registration to voter turnout and everything in between. We’re especially committed to reaching people who may feel disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure about how to get involved. Everyone deserves to feel that their voice matters and that they know how to use it.
3. Building a More Connected Community! Civic engagement is strongest when it’s rooted in relationships. This year, we’ll continue creating opportunities for people to connect with one another and support our community, through events, conversations, volunteer opportunities, and shared action.
This website is part of that ecosystem. It’s a place to learn, to check in, and to find your next step whether that’s showing up, speaking out, or simply staying informed.
Stay Connected! We invite you to explore the website, sign up for updates, and check back often. This page will grow and evolve throughout the year, reflecting the work we’re doing together and the momentum we’re building.
Thank you for being here and for being part of a more informed, engaged, and connected 2026.
Sincerely,
Kim Tarver, 2026 BTD Chair
